Phenomenal Curved Base Hopewell Platform Pipe, Dickey & Motley COA’s, Originally found by Lester Edmonson while Hoeing Sweet Potatoes in 1938 in Pike County Illinois about 4 1/2″ miles N.W. of Valley City Acres along the Illinois River across from the Naples Site. Made from an Incredible piece of Black Stone with Beautiful Streaks of White Quartz Running throughout. Exceptional Polish and great form. Ex Collection of Byron Knoblock (P-15), also ex Dr. Young, ex Floyd Ritter. Well Pictured in Knoblock’s Collection in Who’s Who #1 page 49, and in Dr. Young’s Collection in Legends 1 & 2 (pages 240 & 207) and again in Young’s in Central States 2012 #3 page 125.
