Description
An exceptional pair of Chancay spindles from Peru, ca. 1100 – 1450 AD. They are 12” and 11” long, one features a ceramic whorl decorated with birds and inlaid with white and red pigment, while the other has a rare pyro-incised tubular wood whorl, as well as retaining a good amount of the original ancient thread.
