Description
Collection of 4 Limited Edition Lithographs by Huey Theus titled “The Past Remembered” , each signed by the artist, and ready for framing. Featuring a covered bridge, an old tin-roof home with outhouse, a general store/gas station with Coke advertisement, and an old schoolhouse with seperate entrances for boys and girls. Huey J. Theus was born and raised in the small south Georgia town of Cordele. His childhood recollections of rural scenes, some of infinite beauty and others abject poverty, are reflected in his work with an amazing degree of sensitivity. What began as a hobby became a serious matter in the early 1970’s. His paintings have won various awards including a resolution honoring his work by the Georgia State Senate. His reputation as a great American artist was enhanced by the completion of paintings for former Georgia Governor George Busbee, actor/singer Kenny Rogers, and actor James Garner.
