Allen & Wheelock Bar Hammer Pistol Serial # 828. .36 caliber black powder percussion single shot pistol with a 3” half round, half octagon barrel. The bore is fair to good with some light rust. The steel barrel frame is in fair to good condition showing a grey patina. The plain hardwood grips are in fair condition with finish wear and some dents and dings. Action works OK. Allen & Wheelock was in business from 1857 until 1864
