Description
Roman Empire, Constantius I, 305-306Flavius Valerius Constantius was an emperor of the Roman tetrarchy. Initially a subordinate Caesar from 293 to 305, he was Augustus in the western part of the Empire in 305/306. As emperor, he was primarily responsible for ending the rebellion in Britain and the reintegration of the Britannic Special Kingdom under Carausius and Allectus.
With his son Constantine he founded the Constantinian dynasty.
