In the Tennessee Mountains by Charles Egbert Craddock. Published by Houghton, Mifflin and Co (1885). Appears to be a story behind the story of this book. The book reads Charles Egbert Craddock and the first owner wrote in the name Mary N. Murfree. I did some looking and noticed that someone on abe had the name Fanny Noailles Murfree on their description. The husband may have taken credit for the writing? Has some wear to the top and bottom of the spine and some page foxing inside the covers otherwise pretty good condition. Publishers original brown cloth hardback with gold and black print to cover and spine. 322 pgs and 12 pgs of ads. 7 1/8" by 4 7/8"
