Anacalypsis, an Attempt to Draw Aside the Veil of the Saitic Isis; or, and Inquirie into the Origin of Languages, Nations, and Religions by Godfrey Higgins. Published by New York, J. W. Bouton 1878. Very Rare book. This book was originally published in 1836. Only 200 copies were produced. It was partially reprinted in 1878 which may be why I couldn’t find volume 2. Wikipedia has a good write up on it which is worth looking at. Worldcat didn’t have it, nor did Abe or any other place I looked online. Sadly I couldn’t find volume 2 in the collection. Volume 1 only. Very Good condition. Shelf wear to corners. Internally excellent. Publishers original embossed green cloth hardback with tapered boards and black and gold gilt. 548 pgs. 8 3/4" by 6"
