JESS: A Novel by Haggard, H. Rider. Published by New York: Harper & Brothers. (1887). 1st U.S. Edition. Publishers original half cloth with marbled boards. Good condition for its age. Cover has some wear and fading to spine. 1st Owner glued newspaper clippings to blank pages at the front of the book related to the book. Glued signed print of author to in front piece. This may have been how they did all of this edition of the book. 340 pages plus ads. 6 7/8" by 5"
