The History of Ancient Philosophy Complete 4 Volume Set by Dr. Heinrich Ritter; translated by Alexander J. W. Morrison. Published by Oxford: D.A. Talboys (1838). 1st Edition in English. Publishers original full leather hardbacks with gold gilt to cover, cover edges and spine with name plates. Decorative page edges and marbled pages inside all covers. Volumes 2-4 are in very good + condition. Just missing name plates. Volume one has weak but still attached hinges, missing name plates and a bit of damage at the top of its spine. Pages are very clean with almost no foxing. 603 pgs, 472 pgs, 709 pgs, and 658 pgs.8 7/8" by 5 5/8"
