Translated form the German by Frederic Shoberl. Meiners, Christoph. Published by London, printed for Henry Colburn. (1808). 1st Edition. 4 Volume set. Publishers original full leather hardbacks with gold gilt to covers and spines. Spines are cracked with a few pieces chipped off. Name plates have fallen off long ago. One name plate remains inside near its title page. Front Covers are detached on volumes 1-3. Volume 4 is still together. Internally they are in very good condition. Still bound with decorative page ends. Good Candidates for restoration. 397, 324, 435, and 369 pgs. 7 1/4" by 4 3/8"
