The photograph show scenes of barricaded streets. This is one of fifteen photo’s by the publisher, measuring 7" x 10" (17.78 x 25.4 cm) each. Several prominent citizen who were tired of the city’s corrupt judicial system called a meeting at the Music Hall on March 28 to protest the jury’s decision. This meeting turned into a riot in which more than fifty people were killed, about two hundred were injured, and the Hamilton County courthouse was destroyed.
